About US - International Academy of San Antonio
Welcome to San Antonio’s newest, premier private school!
The International Academy of San Antonio (IASA) is opening in the fall of 2019 and will serve 100 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Additionally, the academy will be adding one grade level per year until reaching 8th grade.
The Academy promises to be a top-rated, private school with a student to instructional staff ratio of 13:1. The exceptional academic program is designed for real-world learning and will feature small classes and a family-like environment. Students at IASA will explore engaging, imaginative assignments with a guided-inquiry approach to instruction. Most importantly, children will have the potential to create an amazing future for themselves as the architects of their own learning.
IASA will be hosted at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community in north central San Antonio, Texas. This beautiful facility offers the school a private entrance and parking, ample classroom and lab space, meeting rooms, and a variety of recreational options (including gyms, fields, playgrounds, and swimming pools).
Academically, IASA is part of the Common Ground Collaborative (CGC), a global network of international schools. The curriculum will focus on six “human commonalities” that define modern life: imagination and creativity, personal identity, purpose and balance, patterns and principles, sustainability and systems, and literacy (personal communication and media).
IASA will offer many options found only in private schools. The tri-language instructional program (English, Spanish, and coding) will emphasize global learning, and our experienced faculty and staff will offer multi-cultural and multi-national experiences. Potential students should be capable of above average work and be willing to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, energetic, and engaging learning environment.
Tuition for the 2019–2020 academic year is $12,000 payable annually or in four-month or ten-month installments. Tuition includes:
- Supplies fee
- Textbook usage and workbook fee
- Educational material fee
- Before-school care
- Local field trips
After-school care will be available for an additional fee through the Jewish Community Center. IASA does have limited partial scholarships for families that qualify on a first-come, first-served basis and discounts for two or more children from the same family.
