School safety is a huge concern in our country - and there are many voices with thoughts, concerns, and ideas. At the Anne Frank Inspire Academy, a k-12 charter school in San Antonio, our students wanted to add student voices to the debate.
We are inviting San Antonio-area students and educators to a student-led symposium on school safety. Come join us for SOS-San Antonio: shared information, enlightened discussion, and student solutions on how to create safe, caring schools.
Please see our symposium permission form for additional details.

Symposium Guest Speaker
We are pleased to announce that Crystal Woodman Miller will be our special guest speaker for this symposium. Crystal is the author of Marked for Life: Choosing Hope and Discovering Purpose After Earth-Shattering Tragedy (NavPress 2006). She is an international speaker on the issues of faith and hope in the midst of suffering.
The reason Crystal, a Columbine survivor, has chosen to speak and share her story is, and always has been, to share a message of hope. The common thread woven throughout the fabric of humanity is our shared experience in suffering and hardship. Regardless of race, religion, gender, or geographic location, no one is immune to the difficulties of this life. Therefore, Crystal shares candidly of her own journey of hardship, faith, and hope so that it may encourage others in the challenges they face. Crystal also speaks in effort to prevent school violence and to help those who, unfortunately have already been impacted by it.
